The key feature of direct selling is that sales are made or facilitated face-to-face away from a fixed retail location - commonly in a home or workplace.
DSAA members market and sell their products through party plan, door-to-door and catalogue drops, person-to-person, and various other arrangements. The majority of members use multi-level systems to reward the independent distributors of their products.
